This little guy was created for Camp Feral! which I hope I’ll be able to attend this year. And it will be placed into the Conbook. I also plan on doing at least one other Mascot, but I’d be happy if I could do all of them before the deadline.

Though my drawing isn’t exactly like the image I used for reference, I feel it fits my style much better. I think the best way to describe my art would be more urban or a little gothic… while her art was very tribal in appearance, and so, this is the end result of my labor. I also have a massive affinity for scythes so I felt I had to make that more interesting too.

I used 9X12 Canson plate/smooth Bristol paper, a .5 mechanical pencil (HB) for everything, and some dinky old shade stick for some parts.

You can view the original earth mascot I used as reference here: [link]
And you can visit the main page for Camp Feral! here: [link]

I have a totally bad-ass friend that surprised me with a cleaned up version of this picture. Hazzah for friends that know photoshop!!

I edited again and put up a cleaner looking version of this drawing. Looks much better.

I love that detail, very smooth. Great anatomy and design. Good job here, really. : ) That's some fine equipment you used there, I need special paper myself. All I have for now is simple double+A Quality paper. :/

Why deviously deny me if we all know I won't be commenting on your pieceofshit page anyway?

Yeah, it unfortunate that I'm out of paper! And who knows when I'll get some more out here. But, it was extremely pertinent that I worked on the mascots as soon as possible, so I ended up flipping a page over and drawing on the back side of an older drawing I didn't much care for.

Thanks for the comments, I'm uploading the Water Mascot soon.

I am in love with the detail and how incredibly smooth the shading is. The scythe is super awesome too.

"Another fantastic person is the famous GearOtter. Check her out on deviantart.com, her art sucks dirt, but she has a posse almost as great as my own, a bunch of friends who suck up to her and get her page views. Go geary."

:aww:

This has style! Wow, I really really like this one, definitely the best piece in your gallery. The smooth shading and photograph-like detail look absolutely amazing and I think the pose and anatomy are great too. But my favorite thing in this picture is his expression, it's so wicked! Keep up the great work!

Thanks a bunch for the warm comment. I like this one a lot too, and it seems to be my more popular piece amoung friends. I liked the expression myself but I've been told it could use improving. Thanks again.
