Hell is War

I tried valiantly to get the shine out of the upper portions of the picture--which faded the details I put in the sky… like fireballs descending onto the ground and what not. But alas, 20 pictures later and slightly tilting the image towards the ground procured this such image--the best of the many. I just dealt with the fact that this would be the end results of a photographed image. As I mention, it's a little tilted downwards too, incase you didn't notice... this helped to get rids of some of the light interference from the ceiling lights.

Anyways, despite it's relatively small size, this took me probably at least 20 hours (maybe, I dunno) on and off for a couple weeks to complete... I'm fairly proud of this, but if it wasn't so hard to plan out every little meticulous detail on such a complex drawing, I would have changed a lot and added more... the image tends to "lean" to the left, because of the shield, throwing the image off balance... I would have tried to expand on the sides more and balance the image out with other junk on the right side... But, what ever, I just wanted to be done with it. I totally despise the symbols on the shield in the foreground with a passion, and some of the image isn’t consistent with the rest of it.

The subject is of a demon chick in hell during some kinda civil war/uprising and she’s trying to look badass.

It was drawn with a .3 and .9 mechanical pencil, an eraser that I file down for precision, and (rarely) a shading stick that I can‘t really use for any softer shades because it’s been heavily used and is now complete crap.
